JESSICA SIMPSON’s joy has turned to heartbreak as her relationship with fiancé Eric Johnson crumbles – and now their wedding is off.Her nearly year-long engagement to the handsome former NFL player had already run into trouble when the beauty began telling pals in mid-September that she could be pregnant with her first child.
Now the couple are sooverwhelmed that they’ve postponed their Nov. 11 wedding indefinitely – and friends say the relationship is doomed.“This should be the happiest, most joyous time of Jessica’s life, but instead she’s miserable,” confided a family insider.“She and Eric are just not happy together, and they’ve agreed to put off their wedding.”
The pregnancy rumors gathered pace after Jessica, looking bigger than ever, chowed down with Eric on Oct. 3 at BJs restaurant in Century City in L.A.She did not look happy when she emerged from the fast-food bistro, and Eric clumsily grabbed her hand when he realized photographers were snapping them.“Eric’s feeling like an outcast with Jessica, and her family fears he’s using her as a meal ticket.
