After Harry this is another problem to British monarchy.
St James's Palace today confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had launched legal action for breach of privacy against the publishers of Closer magazine in France after it published topless pictures of Kate. It is understood that the Royal couple's aim in launching legal proceedings is to prevent further use of the images and to seek damages. Despite this, at least two U.S. celebrity gossip websites are this evening also showing the topless pictures.
Details of the legal action came as this photograph emerged showing the position where the photographer is believed to have taken the controversial pictures. It is thought to be just over half a mile away from the chateau in Provence where the Royal couples were staying.
In confirming the legal action would be taken, St James's Palace announced its lawyers would be pursuing the matter through the French courts. In a short statement, the palace said: 'St James's Palace confirms that legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge against the publishers of Closer Magazine France. ‘The royal couple have the sympathy of Downing Street with a source close to David Cameron saying that Number 10 'echoes the sadness of the palace' over the publication of the pictures.
Rosanna Davison bares all in sizzling topless
Rosanna Diane Davison was the winner of the Miss World 2003 title. She is the daughter of musician Chris de Burgh, and the song "For Rosanna" was written by her father for his 1986 album, Into The Light in her honour
When he penned the track For Rosanna back in 1986, it was unlikely Chris de Burgh envisaged his daughter going on to become a Playboy model. But Rosanna Davison has now caused a stir by stripping off in a sizzling topless shoot for the German edition of the publication.
Showing off her killer curves in just a miniscule animal-print thong and heavy tribal jewellery, the 28-year-old bombshell smoulders on the cover of the October issue of the magazine. In one saucy shot, she straddles a tree wearing nothing but high-waisted knickers, with her blonde locks flowing around her shoulders, while in another she showcases her perfect figure by reclining back seductively into the sea. Insisting the photographs were all 'tastefully done', Rosanna explained it was a 'wonderful' experience. She told the Irish Sun: 'It was something I wasn’t uncomfortable with at all.
'I was put completely at ease and I’m thrilled that it was tastefully done — something I would have been insistent on. 'It was an experience I really enjoyed in the end. Everyone from my boyfriend Wes to my family have been supportive since I made the decision.'And despite Rosanna's Lady In Red hitmaker dad being a somewhat protective father, he gave his full support to the topless shoot. He said in an interview with The Guardian last year: 'My daughter Rosanna won Miss World 2003 and it's fair to say that any beautiful genes come from my wife, Diane.
