One former child star is looking to go from appearing on family-friendly TV to appearing in the pages of a nudie magazine. Cherie Johnson, best known for playing Maxine, the best friend to Kellie Shanygne Williams' Laura Winslow on the '90s sitcom "Family Matters," is reportedly hoping to make her nude pictoral debut in Playboy. "I have been threatening my family that I was going to do Playboy since I was 18 years old," the actress, now 35, told TMZ.com.
"When my mom said, 'Okay' ... and my grandma said, 'Bring me an autographed copy,' I figured I'd make it a goal," explained Johnson, who got her start in
Hollywood on the '80s sitcom, "Punky Brewster."And Johnson seems to be already working hard on the follow-through – and giving fans a taste of what her pictorial might look like.
TMZ posted a picture of Johnson topless and covering her breasts with her left arm. The shot was reportedly taken during a photo shoot last week on a beach in
Southern California. Johnson, however, tweeted that the "Pic is from 09" and was taken in
Miami.The ex-sitcom star is also working on a novel titled "Peaches & Cream."
