Speaking for the first time about the betrayal, distraught Oliver Pope told how the late-night sex session came after weeks of outrageous flirting ­between his wife and Harry. He revealed that three days before it took place Lucy had told him she no longer loved him. But when she snuggled beside him in bed hours later

it gave him false hope that their marriage could survive. Choking back tears, Oliver, 31, said: “The moment I ­discovered Harry had slept with my wife still haunts me. “Knowing they slept together and then Lucy came back home and climbed into bed with me hurts the most. “Realising my wife had decided to leave me because she had fallen for a 17-year-old boy, that’s the most ­embarrassing thing. “I’m a man in my thirties and she left me for him, a young lad. That’s what has ripped me of my dignity.

News of 33-year-old Lucy’s affair with Harry, now 18, broke in the Sunday Mirror earlier this year. We told how Harry wooed her live on air when she interviewed One Direction on Manchester radio station Key 103. They then started exchanging ­messages on Twitter and Facebook. But today we can reveal the full extent of their clandestine relationship.

Oliver, who is due to file for divorce this week, says he was revolted when he discovered saucy text messages between Lucy and Harry. He was sickened to learn they had slept together on her birthday and he was disgusted when he found a T-shirt she’d been given by a friend emblazoned with “I Love Harry Styles”. He said: “I know how ­stupid it sounds but I blame Harry 100 per cent for this.“Okay, so Lucy may have technically split from me days before he first slept with her but that came after weeks of flirtatious text messages.“We were still living together in the same house. At that point, in the same bed.“She was wearing a wedding ring the first time they met.“I don’t think it matters to him whether the woman he wants is married or not.”

Lucy first met Harry last August, just a year after she and ­Oliver wed. Harry and bandmates Zayn Malik, 19, Louis Tomlinson, 20, Niall Horan, 18, and Liam Payne, 18, were promoting their debut single What Makes You Beautiful. Data analyst Oliver had even bought a One ­Direction magazine and given it to Lucy to get signed for his niece, 12.  Weeks after that first meeting cracks in the couple’s marriage began to show. Oliver said: “We had a weekend away in Brighton and Lucy was really quiet and texting the whole time. “I didn’t know who she was messaging but I have since found out it was ­Harry. “Then on the Wednesday she told me she didn’t want to be with me anymore. Just like that, out of the blue, she said she no longer loved me. “Days later Lucy went to a friend’s party. She texted me to say she was staying on her mate’s sofa and wouldn’t be coming home, then changed her mind. A couple of hours later she got into bed with me.
